Fujitsu Tokyo

Production Science has been active in the Japanese market since our inception. We have always specialised in helping companies with live events and exhibitions in all areas of Japan.

We have two Japanese speakers on our staff, as well as a network of contractors within Japan upon whom we can call.  We are experienced in the cultural and technical issues of working in Japan.

We were recently asked to provide production assistance for WRG to assist them with their Fujitsu client for a Global Business Forum, held in Shiodome, Tokyo.

IMAG2718

In addition to Japanese speaking  production management and technical support we imported scenic elements not available in Japan, and acted as liaison between the UK production team and the Japanese suppliers and venue.

Qasr-Al_Hosn Festival

The Qasr-Al_Hosn cultural festival in Abu Dhabi had specific technical requirements for the delivery of their story to visitors. Guests used a mobile application on their phone to scan QR codes located on a trail of culturally significant objects in the grounds of the fort in Abu Dhabi. The QR codes were produced by unusual means such as wood carving and weaving the codes into traditional carpets. Production Science devised a content delivery system that served the content without reliance on the site internet connection, whilst allowing users to click through to social networks to discuss the significance of the objects and promote the exhibition.  This system worked for 3G and wifi users, as well as being available on the internet for off-site  browsing.

A new and interesting project for us – the first time the acoustics of a concert hall have been designed into a temporary structure.  We were brought in for technical advice and to provide a lighting scheme that could be concealed within the structure without affecting the Arup-designed acoustics. Besides ES Global, we were pleased to be working alongside Mark Stephenson, Mark Cunniffe, Chris Cronin, Brit Row and BFLS architects.
